New Teachers bring their gifts and talents to St. Dominic School

Miss Kieffer - 5th Grade Homeroom/4th Grade Science

Miss Kieffer earned her teaching license at the University of St. Francis and comes to us from teaching most recently at an elementary school in Joliet.  She is eager to return to St. Dominic where she attended elementary school!
Mr. Aukst - 8th Grade Homeroom/Jr. High S.S./Literature
Mr. Aukst comes to us with a BA in History from Elmhurst College and over 15 years of experience in education working with students through Ombudsman Educational Services, which serves at-risk youth in Illinois and across the country. Mr. Aukst looks forward to teaching in the Catholic School setting and continuing to help students succeed.
Mr. Ebeling - Jr. High Religion
Mr. Ebeling earned his BA in Theology and Philosophy at Benedictine University and has served in education for the past nine years at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School.  He is excited to help our students continue to grow in their knowledge and love of God.

New to Kindergarten: Mrs. McFadyen
Because of increased enrollment this year, we have the additional joy of announcing that we are opening the year with two full Kindergarten classes.  I have asked Mrs. McFadyen to teach the second class. With her 15 years of experience in education she is excited to continue to form our smallest learners.
Fr. Jim Olofson - new parochial vicar at St. Dominic Parish
We are excited to open the year with a new face at St. Dominic Parish.  Fr. Jim has already been seen walking down the halls of the school, stopping by volleyball practice and most importantly, offering Mass for the Faculty/Staff on their first day of In-service.
