Montini Catholic Math Team Ranked 3rd in State

The Montini Catholic Math Team is currently ranked third in the state by Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics. In their regional competition, they took second, only to beaten by University of Chicago Lab School. They also beat a team record for points scored at the regional competition. The team previously competed at Loyola University of Chicago Class A competition and had a combined score of 99 out of a total 100 points, to lead the team to a victory. Of the 8 individual awards given, the team captured 5. The team is looking forward to competing in its seventh straight State Math Competition.

Jazli Reambillo (St. Dominic '03 graduate) joined other Montini Catholic High School students spent spring break in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia. They rolled up their sleeves and built wood frame houses on cinder block foundations for families in need in areas of Putnam and Kanawha Counties near Charleston, West Virginia. Way to go Jazli!
