Message from Mr. Eggebrecht

Welcome to St. Dominic School.  Our web site is a way for us to share important information about our students, staff, parent groups, programs, and activities.

St. Dominic School is a Catholic elementary school that currently serves about 310 children in grades pre-school through eighth grade.  We are the only Catholic elementary school located in the village of Bolingbrook, Illinois.  We are accredited by the State of Illinois and the Joliet Diocese.

Our teachers are fully certified and continue in their professional growth in both their academic areas and their faith formation.  Our curriculum is challenging and based on national, state, and diocesan education standards.  Our curriculum is revised on a regular basis and we make every attempt to keep our textbooks and supplemental materials current.

Along with the core subjects of math, science, religion, social studies, and language arts, we also teach physical education, music, band, art, Spanish, and computer skills.  We have both a library and a computer lab, and students have the opportunity to visit both on a weekly basis.  Upper grade students may spend up to three periods per week in the computer lab in order to integrate technology with our core academic subjects.

In addition, we have an extensive extracurricular athletics program for boys and girls in grades five through eight.  This affords students the opportunity to compete in the areas of volleyball, basketball, track, and cross country.

We are very proud of our school, and we invite your questions and offer you the opportunity to come and visit us.  Please feel free to call us, and we will do our best to arrange a convenient day and time for you to visit.

Thank you for your interest in St. Dominic School, and may God bless you.

                                                                        Sincerely,                                                                        Bill Eggebrecht                                                           Principal
